Τον Benjamin Button, υποδύεται ο Brad Pitt. Γεννήθηκε γέρος και με τα χρόνια, η ηλικία του έχει αντίστροφη ροή από
την κανονική , έως ότου γίνεται μωρό και τελικά εξαφανίζεται από τη Γη. Στην ηλικία των 50 ερωτεύεται μία 30 χρονη,
την Κέιτ Μπλάνσετ. Και μετά πρέπει να αντιμετωπίσει τις καταστάσεις που έρχονται σε αντίθετες κατευθύνσεις καθώς
μεγαλώνουν και οι δύο !

Ο Mark Twain είχε παρατηρήσει κάποτε ότι είναι άδικο τα καλύτερα χρόνια να είναι αυτά στην αρχή
της ζωής μας και καθώς φθάνουμε προς το τέλος όλα να χειροτερεύουν. Το «The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button»
είναι εμπνευσμένο από το ομότιτλο διήγημα του F. Scott Fitzgerald που με τη σειρά του εμπνεύστηκε από τα λεγόμενα
του Twain. Η τρίτη συνεργασία του David Fincher με τον Brad Pitt, σε σενάριο του Eric Roth («Forrest Gump»),
ακούγεται περίεργη επιλογή για τον οραματιστή σκηνοθέτη: ένα συναισθηματικό, ηθικολογικό all-American story.
Το εξαιρετικό cast και η πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα και παράξενη κεντρική ιδέα υπόσχονται ότι το αποτέλεσμα της τριβής του δημιουργού
με το υλικό θα είναι τουλάχιστον ενδιαφέρον.
